PM SVANidhi (Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi) is a Central Sector Micro-Credit Scheme launched on 1st June 2020 by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).
It provides affordable working capital loans to street vendors to restart, grow, and digitalize their small businesses after the COVID-19 impact.
PM SVANidhi is implemented across all Indian States and Union Territories through local urban bodies (ULBs) and lending institutions like banks and NBFCs.
The Government of India allocated a substantial fund under MoHUA for implementation, targeting 50 lakh+ street vendors across the country.
Till 2025, over 45 lakh street vendors have benefited under PM SVANidhi, improving their income stability and digital participation.
